  1. For  the  V32 Turbo modem the recommended string  for  Qmodem  or

  3. Pcplus  is  AT&F&C1&D2S36=7^M   (^M is carraige return for  those
  4.  
  5. packages).  For any other application, take the recommended Hayes
  6.  
  7. Smartmodem  2400 and add to it S36=7 and this should  work.  Make
  8.  
  9. sure  CTS/RTS  =  ON, and software does NOT  follow  the  CONNECT
  10.  
  11. result message. Speed should be 19,200 or 38,400.

  13.      To  disable  protocol (make it a plain 9600 modem)  the  &Q6
  14.  
  15. command (AT&Q6) will do it. To restore, AT&Q5 is the string.
